Hopi ear candling or Thermal auricular therapy incorporate the use of hollow tubes made of cotton, soaked in beeswax with a mixture of aromatherapy oils or herbs. Is it inserted just inside the ear canal and when lit, the candle has a chimney effect, causing the warm air inside it to rise and creates a vacuum at the bottom. This vacuum gently stimulates the ear and encouraging the removal of excess wax and impurities. The use of the candle followed by massage and acupressure techniques means the treatments delivers a very relaxing and uplifting experience.
